Threat to the MX-5, Toyota FT-86 Open concept

Earlier, we had seen the spy photos, the convertible version of the Toyota 86 on the network. Today, Toyota officially launched 86 convertible, was named as the FT-86 Open, and it will also be attending the Geneva Motor Show.

In addition to the a foldable electric soft top, FT-86 Open concept has the same look with Toyota86. Inside the cockpit, FT-86 Open is with the white and blue two-tone design, with aluminum pedals and other metallic decorative, while central multimedia entertainment display is replaced by the simple audio player and data instrumentation.

Although Toyota has not announced specific performance of the car, but, presumably, the car will still follow the 2.0-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine, 200 hp maximum power, once mass production, it will form a potent threat on the Mazda MX-5.
