Opel Adam R2 Rally concept will be unveiled in Geneva
Recently, Opel announced that Adam R2 Rally concept car will be released in the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. This car is aimed at the FIA R2 groups, design-based Adam Cup, has been described as "beautiful, classic, eye-catching".
This new car is installed OPC body kit, including a quick release hood, a roof-mounted scoop and lightweight racing wheels, a sport-tuned suspension (with asphalt and gravel settings) and Brembo brakes.
The stripped out interior has Sparco racing seats, a roll cage and a digital instrument cluster. The cabin also features an electric fire extinguisher and a MONIT trip computer.
In power, Adam R2 is equipped with a 1.6-liter EcoTec engine, maximum power of 185 horsepower and peak torque of 190 Nm, with a 5-speed sequential gearbox, front-wheel drive with limited slip differential.
In the end of 2013, the official version of Adam R2 will play international rally events.
