Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4



This is the 1 of 2 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia di Stato given to the Italian Police, used for the transportation of human organs and to patrol the highway. Somehow the Lamborghini techs have managed to integrate all the gear that modern police officers regularly use into their diminutive super car. The car is equipped with a video recording system so officers can record evidence.









Brabus CLS V12 S Rocket



In June of 2006 Performance Vehicle Manufacturer Brabus set a record for the world’s fastest sedan car when its 348,000-euro (US$437,575) Mercedes CLS-based Brabus Rocket, clocked an incredible 362.4 km/h at the famed Nardo test facility in Southern Italy. The new police vehicle on show in Essen is destined for police forces that need to be able to run down autobahn abusers.

The Porsche 911 Carrera S has been extensively modified by Tech Art for its role as a police car, and it is capable of over 186 mph and sprinting to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. Tech Art has increased power output of the 3.8-liter flat six engine by 15 hp, and the car is fitted with a wind tunnel tested aerodynamic body kit which improves directional stability. All this is carried by 20″ wheels supported by custom calibrated adjustable suspension. They are widely used by the German, Romanian, The State of Alabama and even Bulgarian police.










BMW 123d Coupé



Since 2005, the Association of German Car Tuners (VDAT) in cooperation with the German Police and the country’s Federal Ministry for Transport have created the “Tune It! Safe” program to encourage drivers to adopt safe and legal tuning practices. The car chosen in 2009 is a BMW 123 Coupe.The exterior needs to identify with a police car and the 123d gets original stickers and Hella flashing lights. The engine gets an upgrade as well, the 2.0 liter twin-turbo diesel engine outputs now 241 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque (480Nm). The engine is matted to a six-speed automatic transmission and runs from o-62 mph in 6.7 seconds.










The Carbon Motors E7



A new police car prototype equipped with sensors for weapons of mass destruction and automatic numberplate scanners has become the talk of a law enforcement convention in the US. The prototype’s maker, Carbon Motors, promotes the E7 as “a new brand of justice”. The company reportedly asked for input from nearly 2000 police officers in a bid to make the car “cop friendly”. The Carbon E7, which is on a nationwide rollout, is powered by a 3.0-liter diesel that churns out 300 horsepower and delivers 420 pound-feet of torque. The engine is linked to a six-speed automatic transmission. The E7 rides on a 122-inch wheelbase and has a curb weight of 4,000 pounds. Its makers say it sprints from zero to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph. It also boasts a 75-mph rear impact crash capability.
