Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake (photos)

In these days Mercedes has presented the new CLS Shooting Brake. It will be available in Europe from November. The differences from the sedan are in the size and versatility of the bench that allows you to expand the trunk. Under the bonnet the Shooting Brake is not so different from the sedan: 3.5 V6 engine with 306 hp, 4.7 V8 twin turbo 408 hp, the range includes the 2.1 diesel four-cylinder twin turbo 204 hp and 500 Nm and the 3.0 V6 with 265 hp and 620 Nm. Later AMG version will be available with the 5.5 V8 biturbo power declined in the two variants with 525 and 557 hp. The engines will be matched to the new standard 7G-Tronic Plus. In questi giorni Mercedes ha presentato la CLS Shooting Brake. Verrà commercializzata in Europa da novembre. Le differenze dalla berlina sono nelle dimensioni e nella versatilità del divanetto che permette di ampliare il bagagliaio. Dentro il cofano la Shooting Brake non si discosta dalla berlina: motori 3.5 V6 da 306 CV, 4.7 V8 biturbo da 408 CV, la gamma diesel comprende il 2.1 quattro cilindri biturbo da 204 CV e 500 Nm e il 3.0 V6 da 265 CV e 620 Nm. Più avanti sarà disponibile la versione AMG, con il 5.5 V8 biturbo declinato nelle due varianti di potenza da 525 e 557 CV. 2013 Volkswagen Golf GTI

Volkswagen will present at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Golf GTI, which will be available in two variants: GTI and GTI Performance. The engine is the same for both, a four-cylinder 2.0-liter TSI that delivers 220 and 230 hp, while torque is 350 Nm for the two versions. Both are fitted as standard with a 6-speed manual transmission and a six-speed DSG as an option. The performances are almost identical: the GTI Performance accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 6.4 seconds and it reaches 250 km/h, while the GTI takes 6.5 seconds and it reaches 246 km/h of top speed. The Performance model also offers a front mechanical limited slip differential, absent on the base, and larger brakes. Outside, the typical GTI style remains: red brake calipers, chrome exhaust, 17-inch Brooklyn wheels, side skirts and rear diffuser. Interiors are characterized by red lighting and Scottish upholstery fabric for seats, over the steering wheel, shift lever and a instrumentation with a sporty look and steel pedal. The Golf GTI goes on sale in Germany in March.

La Volkswagen presenterà al Salone di Ginevra 2013 la Golf GTI, che sarà declinata in due varianti: GTI e GTI Performance. Il motore è lo stesso per le due, un quattro cilindri 2.0 litri TSI che eroga rispettivamente 220 e 230 cv, mentre la coppia è 350 Nm per le due versioni. Entrambe montano di serie un cambio manuale a 6 marce e il DSG a sei rapporti come optional. Le prestazioni sono quasi identiche: la GTI Performance accelera da 0 a 100km/h in 6,4 secondi, contro 6,5 secondi della GTI, la velocità massima è di 250 km/h per la GTI Performance e 246 km/h per la GTI. Il modello Performance offre inoltre un differenziale autobloccante meccanico anteriore, assente sulla GTI base, e freni maggiorati. All'esterno rimane lo stile tipico GTI: pinze dei freni rosse, doppio scarico cromato, cerchi da 17" Brooklyn, le minigonne e l'estrattore posteriore. Gli interni sono caratterizzati da un'illuminazione rossa e dai rivestimenti in tessuto scozzese dei sedili, oltre al volante, la leva del cambio e la strumentazione dall'aspetto sportivo e la pedaliera in acciaio. La Golf GTI sarà in vendita in Germania da Marzo. 

2014 Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale

At the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, Maserati will present the new GranTurismo MC Stradale. Up to now only available with cabin for two people, the MC will now be offered with an interior with four seats. The new Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale has a bonnet made of carbon fiber, 20-inch forged alloy wheels, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and a new rear diffuser. The engine is a 4.7-liter naturally aspirated V8 that delivers 460 hp and 530 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed sequential MC Race Shift gearbox. The Maserati MC Stradale is capable of reaching 300 km/h.

Al Salone di Ginevra 2013, Maserati presenterà la nuova GranTurismo MC Stradale. Fino a oggi disponibile solo con abitacolo a due posti, la MC verrà ora offerta con il classico abitacolo a quattro poltroncine. La nuova Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale vanta un cofano in fibra di carbonio, cerchi in lega forgiati da 20 pollici, impianto frenante carboceramico Brembo e il diffusore posteriore rivisto. Il motore è il V8 da 4,7 litri aspirato che eroga 460 cv e 530 Nm di coppia, abbinato al cambio sequenziale a sei marce MC Race Shift. La Maserati MC Stradale è capace di raggiungere i 300 km/h.  

2013 Brabus 800 Roadster

Brabus will present at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the 800 Roadster, a package of upgrades based on the Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG. The two-seater roadster is powered by the AMG 6.0-liter V12 biturbo engine uprated to Brabus T65 RS specification. Now the engine develops 800 hp and 1420 Nm of torque at 2100 rpm. The 800 Roadster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 9.8 seconds and it reaches a top speed electronically limited to 350 km/h. The Brabus T65 RS kit includes high-performance turbochargers, four water-to-air intercooler and stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with ceramic-coated tailpipes. The transmission is assigned to the dual-clutch AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC PLUS gearbox, a Brabus limited-slip rear differential is also fitted. The Brabus suspension lowers the car by 25 mm. Outside, the 800 Roadster is equipped with an aerodynamic kit developed in the wind tunnel and made ​​entirely of carbon fiber. The look is completed by the new 20-inch Brabus Monoblock R Platinum Edition forged wheels. The interior is fully customizable by the customer.

Brabus presenterà al Salone di Ginevra 2013 la 800 Roadster, un pacchetto di  elaborazioni basato sulla Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG. La roadster due posti è spinta dal 6.0 litri V12 biturbo AMG aggiornato alle specifiche Brabus T65 RS. Ora il motore sviluppa 800 cv e 1420 Nm di coppia a 2100 giri. La 800 Roadster accelera da 0 a 100 km/h in 3,7 secondi, da 0 a 200 km/h in 9,8 secondi e raggiunge una velocità massima limitata elettronicamente di 350 km/h. Il kit Brabus T65 RS comprende turbocompressori ad alte prestazioni, quattro intercooler acqua-aria e un sistema di scarico in acciaio inox con terminali in ceramica. La trasmissione è affidata al cambio a doppia frizione 7G-TRONIC AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS, inoltre Brabus ha montato un differenziale autobloccante. Le sospensioni Brabus abbassano la vettura di 25 mm. All'esterno la 800 Roadster è dotata di un kit aerodinamico studiato in galleria del vento e realizzato completamente in carbonio. Completano il look i nuovi cerchi da 20 pollici Brabus Monoblock R Platinum Edition di alluminio forgiato. Gli interni sono completamente personalizzabili dal cliente. 

  

  

2013 McLaren P1: new images and specs

A few days before its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, new photos and official data of McLaren P1 have been released. The examples provided are 375, at a price that will start from £866,000. The car is powered by a hybrid engine, consisting of a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 and a 176 hp electric motor for a total output of 916 hp and a maximum torque of 900 Nm. The P1 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 7 seconds and 0 to 300 km/h in 17 seconds, top speed is limited to 350 km/h. The engines are mated to seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and rear wheel drive. The P1 is equipped with active aerodynamic devices arising from Drs of Formula 1, tires are Pirelli PZero Corsa specially developed for the car, while the braking system, consisting of carbon-ceramic discs, is developed by the supplier of the F1 team Akebono.

A pochi giorni dal debutto al Salone di Ginevra, sono uscite nuove foto e dati ufficiali della McLaren P1. Gli esemplari previsti sono 375, ad un prezzo che partirà da un milione di euro. L'auto è spinta da un motore ibrido, composto da un V8 biturbo da 3,8 litri e un motore elettrico da 176 cv per una potenza complessiva di 916 cv e una coppia massima di 900 Nm. La P1 accelera da 0 a 100 km/h in meno di 3 secondi, da 0 a 200 km/h in circa 7 secondi e da 0 a 300 km/h in 17 secondi, la velocità massima è limitata a 350 km/h. I motori sono abbinati al cambio doppia frizione a sette rapporti e alla trazione posteriore. La P1 è dotata di appendici aerodinamiche attive derivanti dal Drs di Formula 1, gli pneumatici sono dei Pirelli PZero Corsa sviluppati appositamente per la vettura, mentre l'impianto frenante, costituito da dischi carboceramici, è sviluppato dal fornitore del team di F1 Akebono. Porsche Carrera GT Zagato

This Porsche Carrera GT Zagato is a one-off ordered by former rally driver Ernst Berg to the Milanese body shop Zagato. The changes are not many, as it wants to be an evolution of the original model: the bonnet has been redesigned, exhaust system has been updated, the roof is changed, as well as the bumpers and the rear diffuser. The engine has not changed and it remains the 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V10 capable of delivering a maximum power of 612 hp at 8,000 rpm and a torque of 590 Nm at 5,750 rpm. The Carrera GT Zagato is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, while top speed is 330 km/h.

Questa Porsche Carrera GT Zagato è un esemplare unico ordinato dall’ex pilota di rally Ernst Berg alla carrozzeria milanese Zagato. Le modifiche non sono tantissime, poichè vuole essere una evoluzione del modello originale: il cofano motore è stato ridisegnato, il sistema di scarico è stato aggiornato, è stato modificato anche il tetto, così come i paraurti e il diffusore posteriore. Il motore non ha subito modifiche e rimane il V10 aspirato da 5,7 litri in grado di erogare una potenza massima di 612 cv a 8.000 giri e una coppia di 590 Nm a 5.750 giri. La Carrera GT Zagato è in grado di accelerare da 0 a 100 km/h in 3,9 secondi, mentre la velocità massima è di 330 km/h.

2013 Porsche Cayman

Porsche has unveiled at the Los Angeles Motor Show the new Cayman 2013. Completely redesigned, it is more wide, long and low of the outgoing model and compred with it it has increased performance. The Cayman will be available in Cayman and Cayman S versions, both six-cylinder boxer, but 2.7 and 3.4-liter: the first produces 275 hp, reaches 266 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 s (with PDK and Sport Chrono package). The Cayman S with the 3.4-liter engine delivers 325 hp, reaches 283 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds (with PDK and Sport Chrono package). The engines are mated to a manual gearbox or dual-clutch PDK.

La Porsche ha presentato al Salone di Los Angeles la Cayman 2013. Completamente riprogettata si presenta più larga, lunga e bassa del modello uscente, rispetto al quale sono incrementate le prestazioni. La Cayman sarà commercializzata nelle motorizzazioni Cayman e Cayman S, entrambe sei cilindri boxer, sono il 2.7 e il 3.4 litri: il primo eroga 275 CV, raggiunge i 266 km/h e accelera da 0 a 100 km/h in 5,4 s (con Pdk e pacchetto Sport Chrono).
